Yvonne Senat Jones is a bilingual Afro-Latina actress known for her commanding television work and standout performances in studio films and award-winning projects.
She stars as Tally in Tyler Perry’s BET series Ruthless, a role she held across two seasons, and has recurred on major network and streaming series including NBC/Peacock’s Based On A True Story, Disney+’s The Crossover, and BET’s The Oval. Her television work also includes guest appearances on The Orville and S.W.A.T.
In film, Senat Jones appeared opposite Jennifer Lopez in Netflix’s global hit The Mother, one of the platform’s most-watched films, and opposite Winona Ryder in the psychological thriller Gone In The Night. She also portrayed Queen Denise King in Disney+’s musical feature Sneakerella, a four-time Emmy–winning production that marked her as Disney’s first Afro-Latina queen.

A classically trained actor, Senat Jones holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach. She previously spent eight years teaching acting to youth from at-risk communities through the nonprofit City Hearts LA, an experience that continues to inform her grounded, human-centered performances.
